Dark Skies Weekend - Astrophotography Package
 April 24-26, 2026 | Waskesiu Lake Experience Waskesiu after dark with the Dark Skies Weekend at the Hawood Inn. This guided weekend combines lakeside accommodations, expert-led stargazing, and beginner-friendly astrophotography under some of Saskatchewan’s darkest skies. Hosted by local night sky experts Tim Yaworski of Living Sky Guy and Ron Waldron of Living Skies Stargazing, this immersive weekend is designed for curious beginners and hobbyists. What’s Included
Weekend Highlights Learn the basics of astrophotography, explore auroras and deep sky imaging, and enjoy guided night sky viewing in Prince Albert National Park. Between sessions, relax by the rooftop fire tables, explore Waskesiu, or dine at the Hawood Restaurant. Book Your Stay Spots are limited for this special event weekend. Creative Weekend at the Hawood Inn
 Enjoy a creative and relaxing weekend at the Hawood Inn with our special Art & Writing Retreat package. Your stay includes two nights in comfort, beginning with a Friday evening wine and cheese reception. Start Saturday with a hearty breakfast before choosing between a Watercolour Workshop with Saskatoon artist Tetiana Hrytsenko or a Writing Workshop with Cindy Folk, author of Northern Escape and River Retreat. Afternoon sessions repeat both workshops, so you can experience them all. Sunday begins with a hot breakfast, followed by a marketplace and welcome swag bags to take home.
